Table of contents
I am trying to catalog all known scientific web services. At least all the life science ones. Obviously, I am not going to be able to track down everything, so if you can add anything, please do so. Also let me know if I should ignore sites that are just destination sites, and do not provide an API.
Point Resources
- Exon Miner: Web service for Gene Chip exon array data analysis. No API
- CARMAweb: Comprehensive microarray analysis. SOAP API currently disabled
- SysPIMP: Platform for identifying mutated proteins from mass spec data (X! Tandem). No API
- Comparative Toxicogenomics Database: Elucidates molecular mechanisms by which environmental chemicals affect human disease. No API as far as I can tell
- Sprouts: Visualization and analysis of the impact of point mutations based on protein structure analysis
- GeneDistiller: Distilling candidate genes from linkage interval. Has an API although not quite formalisted yet
- Stralivari: Database of structural alignments of proteins with altnerative structures. Alternative structures are taken from the PDB as well as from snapshots from Molecular Dynamics simulations. No API
- MEMOFinder: No API
- Robetta: Robetta is a full-chain protein structure prediction server. It parses protein chains into putative domains with the Ginzu protocol, and models those domains either by homology modeling or by ab initio modeling.
